Originally founded in 2002 by David Kochberg, RDT, and Ettore Palmeri, MBA, AGDM, BEd, BA as the Academy of Dental Technology (ADT), the new Dental Technology Academy (DTA) continues its tradition of excellence in education by working with leading dental companies to offer our members a variety of exceptional speakers, seminars and workshops throughout the year.
The Dental Technology Academy is a premier academy for dental technical professionals who are interested in being part of a multi-disciplinary, advanced level of education. Imparting up-to-date knowledge to dental technologists is at the forefront of the DTA educational concept.
Because the DTA membership is comprised of experienced dental technologists, DTA can offer the unique added advantage of sharing information in a learning environment.
In 2025, DTA members will have the choice, once again to participate in some(4) or all of the TIA (Toronto Implant Academy) courses. The joint membership between TIA and DTA has proven extremely beneficial as dentists can attend the DTA courses and technicians can participate in TIA courses.
TIA is a clinical academy which gives its members the opportunity to engage with and learn from experts in implants and implant aesthetics as well as business, management, and digital workflow. In 2025 DTA will provide 4 days (12 lectures) while TIA will feature 8 half-day courses with up to 16 speakers. Members will also be provided with a virtual library containing all presentations that may be reviewed anywhere, anytime.
