A 48 Year Retrospective on Denture Prosthetics
Course Description
Perhaps the most satisfying aspect of my training as a Prosthodontist in fixed and removable Prosthodontics was the requirement for me to do all of my own lab work. This taught me discipline and a deep appreciation for the artwork of lab technology. Throughout my career as a Prosthodontist, I supervised my own internal team of dental technologists. Every denture had to duplicate the correct gingiva architecture, the colour and the texture of the soft tissues and the underlying bone pattern and teeth.
Every denture was different. A masterpiece. This must be the greatest joy of a Denturist. You have the complete freedom to create nature as it should be for each individual client. Now, with the help of dental implants, Denturists can retain their prostheses better and more comfortable then ever before.
Join me in this 48-year retrospective of ideal denture prosthetics and follow the different nuances that are applied to unique occlusal schemes and oral manifestations that impact the treatment that we can deliver.
My goal is to give you concrete examples of patient care that you can take back to your practices. I hope that this course will be the first of several times that we can interact and share treatment opportunities.
