Lecture:

Practical and Objective Overview of Current Options for Digital Denture Fabrication

Description:

Fabricating complete or partial dentures using digital tools is not the future, it is now. The challenge for denturists is to understand what workflow options exist to leverage the efficiencies of digital tools and how to begin to efficiently and cost-effectively integrate them into their clinical and technical workflows; particularly since there are so many options and the landscape is constantly changing. This presentation will provide a practical and objective overview of the options available to create so-called “digital dentures” with an assessment of the advantages, disadvantages, and limitations of these options.

About the Instructor:

André Gaul, CDT is Director of Dental Technologies at DenPlus Inc. A 2018 graduate of the dental prosthetics program at C.E.M., during which he earned two scholarships, he was captivated by digital dentistry early on. When presented with an opportunity to contribute to DenPlus's foray into digital technologies, he jumped at the chance. He has since become heavily involved in CAD and 3D printing, has written a few articles on the subject, and, in 2024, gave his own training on 3D printing in the laboratory to dental prosthetics teachers at Cégep Edouard Montpetit, with the aim of enabling them to integrate 3D printing into the curriculum.

Lecture:

3D Printing - The Good, The Bad and The Amazon Links

Description:

The fabrication of removable prostheses involves numerous clinical and laboratory steps, each requiring precision and efficiency. Streamlining these processes is essential for optimizing patient outcomes and practice workflow. This lecture will explore practical digital innovations that can enhance the traditional analog workflow in removable prosthodontics. By integrating simple yet effective digital techniques, clinicians and technicians can achieve greater efficiency, accuracy, and predictability in everyday denture practice.

About the Instructor:

Mr. Eugene Royzengurt has been working in the dental industry since 1996. Mr. Royzengurt’s education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Denturism from American Denturist College, and certifications in Dental Assisting and Radiology. He has published several peer review articles on the subject of Removable and Implant Supported Prosthetics and currently lectures in the United States and internationally.  Gene and his family currently reside in Sandy, Utah where he owns and operates Apple Dental Laboratory, is an adjunct faculty instructor for American Denturist College and is a consulting Denturist and patient advocate for University of Utah General Practice Residency.
