How can you use this in practice?
Dr. Waji Khan, BSc, DDS, MBA, MEd

Description:

This course will highlight how Neodent implants have come on to the global stage with innovation and technology to become one of the premier implant brands in the world.  The presentation will highlight how the unique features of the brand can assist the practitioner in providing single implant and full arch solutions.  There is no such thing as a perfect implant however this one comes close.

Bio:

Dr. Waji Khan is a graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry (2001). Dr. Khan served as a dental officer in the Canadian Armed Forces from 1998-2007 and began his practice there. After a ten-year career in the Canadian Armed Forces, he then moved to Kingston with his wife and life partner, Dr. Sohela Vaid. Dr. Khan enjoys working in all areas of dentistry with a particular interest in cosmetic/esthetic, implant, sedation, restorative, orthodontic and surgical dentistry to improve oral health and boost confidence. He is dedicated to providing oral health care in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

Bio:​

Karim Sahil has earned his RDT, MDT, and acquired his Dental Technology certificate at George Brown College. As a Registered Dental Technologist, he earned a certificate of mastery on all five components of Dental Technology, including ceramics, crown and bridge, dentures, partial dentures, and orthodontics. He gained his Master Dental Technologist certificate from New York, USA, on the study of mandibular physiology, occlusion, and full mouth reconstruction. He maintains a dental laboratory in a dental clinic at Yorkville Village Dentistry. He provides services that include cosmetic dentistry, fixed implant restorations, and advanced full mouth restorative prostheses for dentists and oral specialists. He is also the president of the Association of Dental Technologists of Ontario.

Implant Overdentures, Treatment and Design

Dr. Corey Felix BSc, Msc, DDS

Description:

Lecture and discussion on the techniques necessary to make complete and partial implant retained overdenture prostheses using the Straumann NovaLoc and OptiLoc systems. Case selection, treatment planning, surgical considerations and treatment protocols will be discussed. Appropriate selection of abutments, impression copings and prosthetic components will be taught for overdenture prostheses. This lecture is designed to provide a theoretical knowledge of all necessary abutments and prosthetic components for overdenture prostheses.


Bio:​

Dr. Corey Felix graduated from Dalhousie University dental school in 2007 and began his dental career with the Canadian Armed Forces. Over the years, he has acquired a passion for dental and implant surgery and now has a multi-location practice limited to these services. He has an extensive research background and is keen to remain on the cutting edge of implant dentistry.

Prior to dental school, Dr. Felix completed a BSc in Biochemistry and an MSc in Pharmacology, and is currently enrolled in a Master's degree in Oral Implantology.

Dr. Felix was previously an instructor at Dalhousie University, in both the School of Pharmacy and School of Dentistry. His current areas of interest within dentistry and 3D digital planning and guided surgery in addition to management of implant-related problems.

Her focus for the past 4 years has been learning the different Digital Denture workflows and the impact they will have on the advancement of removeable prosthetics. Lisa strives for knowledge and is passionate to learn and share this information with other like-minded dental professionals.

With a passion for both technical and clinical techniques he is certified in Bio-logic, BPS and SDC denture concepts and is a ZunstZhanWerk “Art of Denture” award winning Denturist, he is a sought after consultant and opinion leader in the Denturist and Lab community.

Bio

Alex Chabachevitch was born and educated in Ukraine. He immigrated to Canada in 1991 and discovered an affinity for the Dental Technology Field. Alex, changed his career focus from computers to Dental Technology. He obtained his RDT license in 1998 and soon after, in 2000, he opened his own dental lab in Toronto. The labs is a Crown a Bridge lab that has a strong focus on implantology, aesthetics and digital dentistry. Alex is also partner in Unique Dental Supplies.
