Kaveh Shams, DT

Kaveh Shams graduated as a Dental Technician from Lambeth College – in London, UK, in 2010. Since then, he has worked in multiple dental laboratories in London and Toronto. In recent years, his passion for digital dentistry has led him to take responsibility as a CAD-CAM Specialist supporting and coaching dental community members across Canada. He continues serving the dental community as Zirkonzahn’s ambassador and branch manager.

Involved in the dental laboratory industry for over 20 years. Specialist in dental CAD/CAM for over 15 years. Certified and trained many others on systems such as Procera, 3 Shape, Lava, Dental Wings, Cerec, Exocad, Dental Softworks, Sum3D, Hyperdent, Dentmill, Roland, Cerec, lmes-lcore and Arum mills. Provided Technical support and sales both remotely and on location across Canada and the USA. Always willing to share experience and knowledge to contribute to the evolution of the Dental CAD/CAM industry.

Instructor Bio

Dr. Waji Khan, CD, BSc, DDS, MBA, MEd

Dr. Khan grew up in Scarborough, Ontario. After graduating from high school he attended the University of Toronto, Trinity College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science with High Distinction in 1997. He then attended The University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry and graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2001. Dr. Khan served as a dental officer in the Canadian Forces from 1998-2007. Dr. Khan began practicing dentistry in Halifax, Nova Scotia with the Canadian Forces. In the CF he learned a lot through mentorship with dental specialists and advanced dental training courses. After a ten year career in the Canadian Forces, he then moved to Kingston with his wife and life partner Dr. Sohela Vaid in 2007 to pursue studies in Medicine and practice Dentistry.
