Course Description

This session covers efficient staining and glazing workflows using Biomic and AI Stain to enhance translucency, texture, and natural character on 3D Pro Zir, AiZir, and KrystaFree. Elevate restorations with predictable, high-impact results.


Instructor Bio

Quint Whipple, CDT

Quint Whipple founded Phoenician Dental Studios in Arizona in 2003, quickly establishing it as a leading cosmetic dental lab. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Arizona State University in 1997 and achieved his CDT certification in 2000. Quint has served on the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and has contributed significantly through the Professional Education Committee and multiple ad-hoc committees. He joined the Damaged Goods Affiliates in 2013 and was inducted into the Dental Technicians Guild in 2016. Quint is also a Key Opinion Leader, sharing his expertise within the industry.

Clinical Failures in Dentistry: Lessons for Dentists and Technicians

Course Description

This is a retrospective view of bad dentistry and how it impacts on the patient and what the dentist and the technician can do to restore our mistakes.


Instructor Bio

Dr. Morley Rubinoff, Prosthodontist

Dr. Rubinoff is a graduate of the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto (1974). Dr. Rubinoff completed a post-doctoral program in Prosthodontics from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1984. Dr. Rubinoff has served as the President of the Association of Prosthodontists of Ontario, The Association of the Prosthodontists of Canada and is the founding President of the Canadian Dental Protective Association. He has been awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Canadian Dental Association and received a fellowship from the Academy of Dentistry International. Dr. Rubinoff was an instructor/mentor at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto in the Graduate Department of Prosthodontics. Dr. Rubinoff is a Senior Fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI).

Ali Rezaei, President & CEO, Canadian Dental Labs (Shaw, Protec and Hallmark)

Ali Rezaei is the President and CEO of Shaw Lab Group, the leading network of dental laboratories in Ontario, Canada with 4 full-service laboratories located in the GTA, Kingston, London and Ottawa. Prior to Shaw, Ali was Vice President of Operations and Engineering of Gehl Foods, LLC, a leading North American manufacturer of aseptic dairy products in Wisconsin, USA and advisor to Founders Group of Food Companies, Inc, a family-owned company based in British Columbia, Canada. Prior to these roles, Ali was Vice President of Operations of Golden Boy Foods Inc., a subsidiary of Post Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:POST) and leading manufacturer, marketer and distributor of private label and branded nut and fruit products. Ali has a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University in Iran and Masters Degree in Management from McGill University in Canada.


Julian Kempnich, Vice President of Operations, Swiss N.F. Metals

Julian Kempnich, Vice President of Operations at Swiss N.F. Metals started working for Swiss N.F. Metals in 1991 after graduating from George Brown College. Julian has focused over 30 years on refining his technical knowledge of the different restorative materials within the industry. Julian conducts technical support overviews on restorative materials, attachment, and implant products, traveling extensively through Canada and the US selling to Dental Labs and Denturists


Karim Sahil, RDT, MDT

Karim Sahil has earned his RDT, MDT, and acquired his Dental Technology certificate at George Brown College. As a Registered Dental Technologist, he earned a certificate of mastery on all five components of Dental Technology, including ceramics, crown and bridge, dentures, partial dentures, and orthodontics. He gained his Master Dental Technologist certificate from New York, USA, on the study of mandibular physiology, occlusion, and full mouth reconstruction. He maintains a dental laboratory in a dental clinic at Yorkville Village Dentistry. He provides services that include cosmetic dentistry, fixed implant restorations, and advanced full mouth restorative prostheses for dentists and oral specialists. He is also the president of the Association of Dental Technologists of Ontario.
