Course Outline
This course will teach you which cases to treat predictably, and which cases to refer out for proper management. It introduces you to the fundamental concepts in rotary endodontics, regardless of the system you currently use. It will discuss diagnostic skills you should have to properly zero in on the patient chief complaint.
This course will reinforce the SOAP concepts in achieving proper diagnosis, and assess case difficulty and learn when to treat and to refer. Review local anesthesia techniques to help you achieve proper pain control. Cover and detail proper handling of endodontic procedure from isolation to access, canal location, instrumentation, disinfection and obturation details.
The course objectives will be for GPs to become confident in diagnosis, anesthesia, anatomy, instrumentation, irrigation and obturation.
The hands-on component will involve various Tulsa rotary systems and products.
Great emphasis will be given to diagnosis, case selection, proper anesthesia, glide path management and the efficient and safe use of reciprocation to create ideal shapes to allow proper and thorough disinfection of the canal space.
