Socket Shield - Uncompromised Aesthetics through Biologic Preservation
Dr. Jeff Li
AGD Subject Code: 690
Description
Implant surgery in the aesthetic zone is one of the most challenging areas of dentistry. Once a tooth is extracted, a chain of remodeling events takes place which often leads to less-than-desirable outcomes, both from the surgical and prosthetic standpoints. Although various techniques exist, the Socket Shield technique stands out as the one utilizing true biologic preservation. Over time and with refinement, it has shown to be both predictable and reproducible and should be considered in almost all aesthetic implant cases.
Outline:
-
Understand challenges in aesthetic implant dentistry
