Course Outline
This course covers everything you and your dental team need to know about digital dentistry and will answer your digital questions and concerns! Learn about the basics, right up to advanced methods of “cooking with” CBCT scans, optical scanning techniques, free software to plan and design different dental prostheses, and 3D printing techniques.
You will learn how to 3D print dental models, night guards, and surgical guides all at low cost. Conventional analog and digital “cooking recipe” workflows will also be discussed.
Each participant will experience "LIVE HANDS-ON" techniques to demonstrate the use of optical scanners, software, and 3D printers and fabricate their own surgical guide and night guards. You will also be provided with files containing DICOM and STL files of demonstrated cases for you to practice with. Finally, you will be given multiple "RECIPES" to print in your practice to simplify digital techniques for you and your assistants to best learn from all of these technologies!
This course will focus on various intra-oral scanners, 3D printers and resin materials. Don’t worry if you own something else, the digital workflows will be very similar or identical in most cases.
